1948’s Crucial Conversations Club Launches
As part of its People Relations offering, 1948 has launched a game changing new service.
The Crucial Conversations Club helps businesses transform the way their people communicate with one another, particularly when it comes to the more challenging conversations that are often side-stepped altogether.
Led by 1948 founder Simon Coleman, it provides businesses with ongoing training and guidance as well as practical one to one sessions they can tap into when it’s needed most.
Former West End actor Simon said: ‘Conversations are happening daily in the workplace, some more challenging than others. Most happen without a second thought, while others take a wrong turn and fail to deliver the desired outcome.
‘Our new service helps people understand that conversations don’t just ‘go wrong’, they go wrong for a whole multitude of reasons, including the mindset and emotions of the individuals concerned, to the words used and even body language. Only by understanding this can people start to have better conversations.
‘Following the initial training we then deliver one to one sessions to help people put their learnings into practice in a safe environment. When a challenging conversation is looming, whether it’s a sensitive issue with a team member, a performance related review or even a simple exchange of ideas, our team is on hand to provide expert guidance, explore possible scenarios, and help build confidence.’
Having delivered transformational programs for some of the UK’s largest companies the team at 1948 wanted to make its crucial conversations service accessible and affordable for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
‘It shouldn’t just sit in the domain of big businesses. And it needs to go much further than just a one off training session. That’s why we’ve factored in the ongoing practical sessions which make this service an absolute game changer. We’ve already had some amazing feedback from clients and can’t wait to take this far and wide’, said Simon.
